Israel gears up for international war crimes suits

Israel's Foreign Ministry is gearing up for an expected flood of international war crimes suits against IDF commanders who served in the recent Lebanon war.

Government ministers who made particularly harsh statements during the fighting have also been put on notice.

The problem is centered on Europe, where "human rights" organizations regularly petition European courts that have granted themselves the right to try foreign nationals over alleged Israeli crimes.
