Lebanon again rejects peace

In response to peace overtures by Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert Sunday, the office of Lebanese Prime Minister Fuad Siniora reiterated its objection to any accord with the Jewish state in the near future.
Despite the fact the recent war was instigated by armed forces operating from Lebanese soil, Beirut said it was Israel that was blocking any movement towards peace by continuing to impose an air and sea blockade aimed at cutting off Hizb'allah supply routes.
Siniora last week said his nation would be the last Arab state to ever make peace with Israel, and only under the terms of the 2002 Arab League peace initiative. That proposal a full Israeli surrender of all territories liberated in the 1967 Six Day War, and the right to flood the Jewish state with millions of so-called "Palestinian refugees."
