Livni says Abbas joining a terrorist government

Israeli Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni Monday said that under the current circumstances, the newly announced "Palestinian" unity government means PLO chief Mahmoud Abbas is joining a terrorist regime.

Livni said that until Hamas explicitly recognizes Israel and renounces all violence against all Israelis, it will remain a terrorist organization.

The Palestinian Authority unity government proposal does not require Hamas to do either.
