IDF tracker killed during Gaza operation

A IDF Bedouin tracker was killed Tuesday morning while accompanying Israeli paratroopers during an anti-terror operation in Palestinian-Authority controlled Gaza.

The Arab officer was shot and critically wounded when the incursion force entered a "Palestinian" home and was engaged by Hamas-affiliated gunmen. He died a short time later.

The operation's goal was to discover and destroy terrorist-dug tunnels believed to be in the area. Tanks and a unit of combat engineers participated.
