Syria says US behind Damascus embassy attack

A senior member of the Syrian regime has accused the US of orchestrating Tuesday's attack on its own embassy in Damascus.

He said the goal was to prove that Syria is full of terrorists in order to increase pressure on Damascus to join the US-led war on terror.

Groups such as Hamas, Islamic Jihad and Hizb'allah maintain offices and training camps in and near Damascus. Their presence, statements and actions long ago proved that Syria is full of terrorists.
