Egypt: Hamas rejects offer for Shalit
Source: The Jerusalem Post
October 03, 2006
Egypt says Hamas has rejected an Israeli offer to free up to 1,000 "Palestinian" terrorists in return for IDF Corporal Gilad Shalit.
Hamas is demanding that the prisoners freed by Israel include top terror bosses, like Fatah's Marwan Barghouti. Hamas is being supported in this by Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas, the so-called "moderate."
Shalit was abducted by Hamas-affiliated terrorists outside of the Gaza Strip on June 25, more than three months ago.
