Netanyahu: Likud's path has been justified

At a Sukkot gathering Sunday, Likud leader Binyamin Netanyahu said his party's form or rule and opposition to unilateral withdrawal had been proved correct by the violence in Gaza and recent Lebanon war.
Said Netanyahu:
"There was disagreement over whether the Likud was the right way. They did an experiment - and the results are in front of us."
Likud MK Yisrael Katz added that the ruling Kadima Party is a "sinking ship," and said it would not even be in power today if former prime minister Ariel Sharon had no broken up the Likud.
"Many have ridden on Sharon's shoulders, and that's how they got to positions they would not have reached any other way. The prime minister, the finance minister, the foreign minister, and the defense minister would not be in their [present] jobs if Sharon had not broken up the Likud."
