Israel urges Security Council action on Iran

Following an emergency cabinet meeting Thursday, Israel urged the international community to follow through on threats of sanctions against Iran and its nuclear program before it's too late.
Israel fears the North Korea's nuclear test earlier this week will accelerate Iran's own quest to obtain atomic weapons.
North Korea and Iran have cooperated in the military sphere in the past, and both nations' disdain for the US makes future cooperation all but inevitable.
Israel sees North Korea's test as a failure for international diplomatic efforts to stem nuclear proliferation, and believes that without harsh sanctions or military action, Iran will defiantly carry out a similar test very soon.
Jerusalem has warned that it cannot accept a nuclear Iran, and that if the international community fails in its dealing with Tehran, Israel may be forced to take matters into its own hands.
