Syria stirring up Lebanese civil strife

Spurred on by Hizb'allah's successful baiting and bleeding of Israel, Syria is now focusing on developing a two-to-three front war of attrition against the Jewish state.

Syrian dictator Bashar el-Assad is pouring weapons into the hands of pro-Syrian Lebanese factions, sending instructors to train Hamas terrorists in Gaza, and keeping his own forces in a state of military readiness.

Analysts believe Syria, an ally of Iran's, is wielding the threat of a multi-pronged attack against Israel to discourage Jerusalem from carrying out a military striek against Tehran's nuclear facilities.
