Russia says Hizb'allah used US arms

While Russia has quietly acknowledged that Hizb'allah used advanced Russian-made weapons against Israel this summer, Moscow claimed on Friday that the terror group prefers American arms.

While promising to tighten supervision over arms sales to Syria, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Ivanov indicated that he had provided Israel with evidence that Hizb'allah had made greater use of American weapons than Russian weapons during the summer's Lebanon war.

American defense contractors sell advanced arms to many Middle East states, most of which are openly hostile to Israel. It is possible that some of these arms find their way to groups such as Hizb'allah.
