Hamas vows more violence, Fatah shields terror wing

Hamas Sunday again made clear it intends to continue murdering Israelis, even if the Gaza Strip is ethnically cleansed of all its Jews by the government of Ariel Sharon.
Sami Abu Zohri, a senior spokesman for the terror group, told reporters that even if Israel left Gaza, the Palestinian Arabs would continue to perpetrate violence in “ever corner” of the land.
The comment came just hours after IAF helicopter gun ships attacked several Hamas weapons factories in the Gaza Strip.
Meanwhile, “Palestinian” Prime Minister Ahmed Qureia insisted he would further violate the PA’s signed agreements by acting to shield his Fatah organization’s armed terrorist wing, the Al Aqsa Brigades.
Promise of violence
The Palestinian Arabs will continue to carry violence to “every corner” of the land of Israel, even if Prime Minister Ariel Sharon removes every Jew from the Gaza Strip, said senior Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zohri Sunday.
Over the past two weeks, Hamas has made abundantly clear it does not intend to halt its efforts to murder Israeli Jews, despite Jerusalem’s major unilateral concession.
Security experts fear an Israeli withdrawal from Gaza would result in the area being transformed into a giant Hamas-controlled terror base, similar to what southern Lebanon became under the boot of Yasser Arafat’s PLO in the 1970’s.
Sharon believes that by leaving and sealing off Gaza, Israel would be able to better contain the terror emanating from there. His plan does not seem to take into account the already mounting international pressure for Israel to not hermetically seal the Strip.
Zohri’s comment came just hours after IAF helicopter gun ships blasted several Hamas-run weapons factories in Gaza City. The factories were reportedly involved in constructing Kassam rockets.
An advanced Kassam rocket hit a house in the Negev town of Sderot Friday morning, sending one person into shock.
Terror’s patron
Meanwhile, “Palestinian” Prime Minister Ahmed Qureia Sunday demonstrated the PA’s continued disdain for its signed “peace” agreements with Israel when he announced the Al Aqsa Brigades terror group would not be disbanded, but rather integrated into the ruling Fatah party.
Qureia made the statement in an interview with the London-based Arabic daily Asharq Al-Awsat .
The IMRA news agency explained Sunday that Qureia’s position on the Brigades coincides with the “Egyptian plan that the various armed terrorist groups operating in the Gaza Strip retain their weapons while Israel promises not to take action against them.”
Last week, Qureia said the PA would do everything in its power to protect gunmen belonging to the Brigades from elimination at the hands of the IDF. Many of those gunmen are wanted for murdering Israelis.
