Report: Olmert orders killing of Hamas lawmakers

According to London's Sunday Times, Prime Minister Ehud Olmert has ordered the IDF to start targeting senior Hamas political leaders as part of its war on terror.

Israel has avoided harming Hamas' senior leadership ever since the group took control of the Palestinian Authority last March.

But with Hamas-affiliated groups continuing to pound southern Israel with missiles, and its leadership making clear that it will never recognize Israel's right to exist, the grace period has come to an end.

Even ultra-leftist Defense Minister Amir Peretz is said to be in agreement with the new liquidation policy.
