Olmert orders IDF to stop protecting Israeli civilians against rocket attacks

Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert dealt yet another blow to Israel's tattered deterrence Sunday when he overruled top security officials and ordered the IDF to let terrorist rocket teams attacks Israeli civilians with impunity.
According to reports, Olmert and his foreign minister, Tzipi Livne, who together are scrambling to try and please international demands that they get the "peace process" back on track, told the top security brass that there were "other considerations" that had to be taken into account when deciding whether or not to respond militarily to terrorism.
Since Olmert announced a week ago that he had agreed to a ceasefire with Israel's terrorist foes, the agreement has been repeatedly breached from the Arab side.
Israel has not responded to any of the violations.
