Iran buying Hamas to be Hizb'allah 2
By Stan Goodenough
December 14, 2006
The Iranian regime, which planted the Hizb'allah in Lebanon and directs the terror group's war against Israel, is spending hundreds of millions of dollars to draw Hamas more firmly into its orbit.
Tehran's Shi'a Muslims have seized the opportunity created by the international embargo against the Hamas-led Palestinian Authority, stepping in to generously fund the Sunni Muslim group in a way Israeli defense officials believe could cement ties between the two.
Iran appears intent on being able to wield Hizb'allah from Israel's north and Hamas from Israel's south in the escalating Islamic war to destroy the Jewish state.
Both groups could also be unleashed against Israel in the event Jerusalem goes afer Iran's nuclear facilities.
Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has warned that such an attack on Iran will trigger a devestating response.
