‘Wave of terror on the way’

The Palestine Islamic Jihad, which operates with impunity inside the Palestinian Authority-controlled Gaza Strip, warned Wednesday that a tsunami of terror is about to be unleashed against Israeli Jews.

The group was responding to a decision by Jerusalem to resume targeted attacks on cells launching Kassam rockets from the Gaza Strip.

Instead of being dissuaded from continuing the missile attacks, PIJ spokesman Abu Ahmad told Ynetnews Wednesday the strikes would intensify, and that soon rockets with an improved range would be employed.

“Our firing is not coincidental. The rocket-firing cells are aiming at targets and strategic facilities on which, or next to which, the rockets land. Even if it doesn't hit it directly, we continue to improve, and recently, the enemy has also admitted this. In recent days, one of our rockets landed in an extremely sensitive strategic facility.”

Ahmad warned that “suicide” bombers were also being dispatched to wreak death and destruction in Israeli cities.
