Hizb’allah paying Kassam rocket cells

By Stan Goodenough
December 28, 2006

Hizb’allah paying Kassam rocket cells Before he was deposed, the soon-to-be-executed former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein directly sponsored “Palestinian” terrorist attacks against Israel. Saudi Arabia similarly underwrites terrorism against Jews. And now the Iranian-backed Lebanese Hizb’allah is also investing capital in efforts to kill and terrorize Israelis.

According to an exclusive report in The Jerusalem Post Thursday, Hizb’allah pays hard cash to every Palestinian Arab that launches a missile from the Gaza Strip towards the south of Israel.

Kassam rocket crews are encouraged to target Jewish civilians and Israeli strategic sites. The more accurate their attack, the higher their “earnings.”

Several thousand dollars are paid per attack, an irresistible prize in poverty stricken Gaza, according to Israel’s internal security services.

Hizb’allah conducted its own missile onslaught on Israel in July and August this year, in the process learning the effectiveness of using weapons which the IDF cannot stop, and which can deal painful blows to Israel’s deterrence, economy and society in general.

Tehran’s proxy militia apparently aims, by promoting the rocket fire from Gaza, to keep Israel bleeding in the south until it is ready to resume its war of attrition in the north.
