Terrorism

Eight missiles fired at Jewish targets Friday

By Stan Goodenough
December 29, 2006

“Palestinian” terrorists fired a total of eight Kassam rockets at Israeli targets between dawn and the start of the Sabbath Friday.

Most of the missiles landed in the Negev, but two fell within Palestinian Authority areas.

No injuries or damage were reported.

The international community remains not unduly worried about the indiscriminate rocket firing, even though it constitutes war crimes as civilians, rather then military personnel, are being deliberately targeted.

Despite the fact that these firings have been taking place for many months, the United Nations has failed to issue a single condemnation of the Palestinian Authority.

The majority of the PA’s members belong to Hamas, one of the terror groups regularly responsible for launching the Kassams.

Angry and fearful Israelis, especially those living in areas within range of the missiles, have accused Prime Minister Ehud Olmert of vacillating over whether or not to respond militarily to the terrorism.

The IDF has hitherto been kept sitting idly by even though close on 70 missiles have been fired by the Arab side since Israel agreed to a “ceasefire” earlier this month.

Security sources quoted Friday said the Kassams were being improved and would soon have a range three times longer than it does today.
