'Larger' Kassam strikes Sderot neighborhood

Gaza Arabs fired two Kassam rockets at Israeli targets Friday morning, ending a three-day period of quiet.
One missile, described as a larger than normal model of the Kassam, slammed into a residential building in the Negev town of Sderot, causing extensive damage to two homes, The Jerusalem Post reported.
The families from both homes were warned of incoming rockets just seconds earlier, and were heading to their safe rooms when the missile plowed through the wall, destroying a balcony, bringing down a roof, and shredding walls inside the homes with shrapnel.
Two women were taken to hospital suffering from shock.
Credit for the attack was claimed by the Palestine Islamic Jihad, one of a number of terrorist organizations which the Palestinian Authority allows to operate out of Gaza.
