Hamas sees Rice bolstering Fatah, against Hamas

The Hamas, which has a strong majority in the Palestinian Authority, but which is embroiled in an increasingly violent battle against PA chairan's Mahmoud Abbas's Fatah group, is unhappy about US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice's current visit to the region.
The Islamist terrorist organization sees Rice's visit as just the latest in a series of supportive moves Washington has made in favor of Abbas and against Hamas.
This diplomacy will only serve to intensify the "Palestinian" on "Palestinian" violence, complained Hamas spokesman Ghazi Hamad.
Some observers have wondered whether this is not in fact America's strategy.
