The Russians have fulfilled their commitment to provide Iran with advanced anti-aircraft missile systems that will help shield the country's nuclear program from Israeli and or American air strikes.
Moscow carrid out the arms transfer in defiance of a call by the US last year for all countries to halt weapons exports to Iran.
The Tor M-1 missiles (29 of which Russia had agreed to sell to Iran) is a sophisticated mobile integrated air defense system designed to operate at medium, low and very low altitudes.
It can track 48 potential targets at a time, firing on two simultaneously, and within five to seven seconds of acquiring.
