IAF blows up Gaza terror tunnel

A few hours after an Arab from the Gaza Strip blew himself up in the Israeli town of Eilat Monday, Israeli Airforce planes bombed a tunnel linking the Strip to "Israel proper."

The tunnel was one of a myriad underground routes dug to facilitate Arab terrorism, either through the smuggling of arms into Gaza or for enabling terror cells to attack and kill or kidnap Israelis.

A tunnel like the one targeted Monday was used by Hamas to attack an IDF post and kidnap Corporal Gilad Shalit last year.
