US congressional leaders remember Jewish refugees

A group of eight US congressional leaders this week introduced resolutions in both the Senate and House of Representatives calling for recognition that hundreds of thousands of Jews were made refugees by their Arab host nations at the time of Israel's rebirth.
Unfortunately, the resolutions tie that recognition to the perpetuation of the myth of the "Palestinian refugee."
According to the text of the documents:
"It would be inappropriate and unjust for the United States to recognize rights for Palestinian refugees without recognizing equal rights for former Jewish, Christian and other refugees from Arab countries."
Israel long ago dealt with the Jewish refugee crisis created by its Arab neighbors by resettling its brethren.
The Arabs, meanwhile, have perpetuated the status of so-called "Palestinian refugees" for more than 50 years, despite the fact that their displacement was ultimately the fault of Arab leaders who thought they could more easily destroy Israel without Arab civilians in the way.
The "Palestinian refugees" are now a cornerstone of international efforts to dissect the Jewish state.
