Israel, US discuss new aid package
Source: The Jerusalem Post

Israeli and US officials met last Thursday to discuss the creation of a new ten-year aid package to the Jewish state when the current one expires next year.
As part of the current program, US military aid to Israel has risen from $1.8 billion a year to $2.4 billion over the past decade.
At the same time, an initial $1.2 billion in civilian financial aid was progressively phased out.
In the new package, the Israelis may seek additional funds for defense, at least in the area of joint development of military technology, in order to help meet the mounting threats from their neighbors.
