Arabs to Israel: Surrender first, then we'll talk

Source: Ha'aretz

Arab leaders on Tuesday assured Israel that they have no intention of altering the Saudi peace plan to take into consideration Israeli concerns.

Israeli leaders have expressed optimism over the plan, and openly stated that it could serve as a basis for peace.

However, they want clauses guaranteeing millions of foreign-born Arabs who call themselves "Palestinian refugees" the right to take up residence inside Israel removed from the draft, or at least downgraded.

Saudi Foreign Minister Saud al-Faisal slammed Israel over what he called its uncooperative position, and insisted that Jerusalem first accept the plan in full, and then maybe the details could be discussed.

Many Israeli experts are warning that to accept the proposal would be suicidal for Israel, not only from the standpoint of flooding the Jewish state with Arabs, but also in surrendering strategic lands that were on more than one occasion used by the Arabs to invade Israel.

The current Arab position is typical in that it offers no room for compromise with Israeli interests. Nor does the proposal include any consequences for the Arabs attempts to militarily destroy the Jewish state at least three different times.
