Israeli choppers hit Gaza terrorists

For the first time in months, Israeli air power was employed against Gaza-based "Palestinian" terrorist forces on Saturday.
Helicopter gun ships were called in after IDF troops spotted a cell of "Palestinian" terrorists operating along the northern Gaza security fence.
The choppers engaged the terrorists, firing two missiles that killed one of the "Palestinians" and wounded two others.
The Islamic Jihad and Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine later admitted the men were theirs, and said they had been dispatched to plant bombs along the security fence.
Since last November, Israel had refrained from attacking terrorists in Gaza after signing a truce agreement with PLO chief Mahmoud Abbas.
But Abbas has failed to keep his promise to prevent the Gaza-based killers from attacking Israel. Rockets have been fired from the area into southern Israel on nearly a daily basis despite the ceasefire.
That prompted the Israeli government last week to authorize the IDF to again take active defensive measures against terrorists operating in northern Gaza.
