Arab stabs Jews at Hebron holy site

By Ryan Jones
April 08, 2007

A "Palestinian" stabbed two Israeli Jews outside the Hebron burial place of Israel's biblical forefathers on Sunday.

The assailant, a 17-year-old boy indoctrinated to hate Israeli Jews by his society, reportedly pulled out a knife as he approached an Israeli checkpoint outside the Cave of the Patriarchs.

He then proceeded to cowardly stab a Border Police officer in the back, seriously wounding the man. A second victim was lightly wounded in the hand.

Another officer then shot and lightly wounded the young "Palestinian" before he could continue on his bloody rampage.

Shifra Hoffman, founder of Victims of Arab Terror, told Arutz 7 that the attack should be seen as a direct result of Israel's willingness to succumb to terrorist blackmail by releasing security prisoners in exchange for abducted IDF soldier Gilad Shalit.

The Government of Israel, with its policies of appeasement and cowardice, must be held responsible for all future attacks that may be perpetrated by the terrorist murderers that it plans to release in exchange for Gilad Shalit.

Well-known right-wing activist Baruch Marzel concurred in remarks carried by Ynet:

This is the terrorists' response to those who are going to release Hamas prisoners with blood on their hands. Every time we talk about releasing terrorists, violence escalates and the perpetrators receive encouragement.

The holy site is the resting place of Abraham, Sarah, Isaac, Rebecca, Jacob and Leah. Muslims also lay claim to it due to the Arabs' descent from Abraham.
