Arab kidnap bid fails

By Stan Goodenough
June 11, 2007

Palestinian Arabs in the Gaza Strip terror ministate tried, but failed, to kidnap one or more Israeli soldiers in a daring attack near Kissufim Sunday.

Using a vehicle camouflaged to look like a press car, four terrorists rammed their way through the security fence surrounding the strip and opened fire on soldiers in the area.

The four, members of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, were driven back by the Israeli soldiers, who shot one of the terrorists dead after he killed an IDF tracking dog.

Arabs have been plotting to kidnap more Israelis because of the successful way they are able to get Israel to release "Palestinian" prisoners in exchange for their hostages.

Media representative organizations slammed the terrorists for painting large "TV" signs on their vehicle. "Palestinian" journalists said such actions would give the IDF a pretext for targeting reporters in the future.

Arab terrorists have repeatedly shown their readiness to use anything from ambulances to school yards to perpetrate attacks.
