‘Palestinian’ terror plot against synagogue foiled
By Stan Goodenough
June 19, 2007
Israel’s internal security service, the Shin Bet, released for publication Tuesday its successful quashing of a “Palestinian” plot to blow up a synagogue in the town of Modi’in.
Modi’in is located about halfway between Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, inside “Green Line” Israel.
According to reports, 12 Arabs were involved in the plot, which was uncovered after a “Palestinian” was arrested for working illegally in Modi’in.
The cell had also been planning to kidnap American nationals in Judea and Samaria.
