4th of July – In memory
By Stan Goodenough

Five years ago today – on US Independence Day 2002 – two Israelis were shot and killed at the Los Angeles Airport El Al ticket counter.
Yyakov Aminov (46) a father of five, and Victoria Chen (25) fell to the bullets of an Egyptian Muslim who, like untold millions of his fellow believers, was consumed with Jew-hatred and driven by the Koran to kill them wherever he could find them.
A ticket counter serving Israel’s national airline was an obvious place to look.
Aminov’s widow and orphans, and Chen’s loved ones, will be feeling the pain again today.
For them, and for the thousands of family members of Jews who have been killed by adherents to what world leaders insist on calling a “religion of peace,” may the day soon come when God will fulfill His promise to comfort all those who mourn in Zion.
