America, Your future's up to you

Most my readers know that from my post on the walls of Jerusalem, here to identify and expose dangers and threats to this special city, and of course to the land and people to whom it belongs, my gaze is often directed westwards to the United States of America - the world’s only current superpower and the nation that wields the most influence over what happens here in the Middle East.

While some Americans may find my observations and commentaries irritating if not downright infuriating, the reason I watch America so closely is because I really care about that great land, and because of my Bible-based belief that she has been positioned in power at this time in history to be able to champion and serve God’s Chosen People.

I believe that America has, on a number of notable occasions over the past century, truly lived up to this calling. It is also excruciatingly clear to me that massive forces are at work to derail that country from its destiny and align it, with virtually the entire world, against Israel.

In this light, (as in a number of others) the 2008 elections are truly, in the words of former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, the most critical in the history of the United States….so far.
