Israel discusses flattening Gaza villages used for rocket launches

The Israeli government is reportedly contemplating evacuating and then demolishing Arab villages in the Gaza Strip from which rockets are launched against Jewish villages in the Negev.
According to a report in The Jerusalem Post Tuesday, the cabinet was scheduled to meet to discuss a new strategy in response to the rocket terror attacks that resumed last week after a relatively quiet ceasefire.
A proposal set for discussion, and made jointly by Justice Minister Daniel Friedmann and Vice Premier Haim Ramon, is that the IDF will evacuate villages that have become launching pads for Hamas and other terror groups, and will then raze the villages to the ground with heavy artillery.
Israel has contemplated using big stick tactics before, only to back down under international pressure and explosions of outrage in the world press.
