US puts 'Palestinian' produce above Jewish lives

Terror warnings flood in ahead of Israeli election

Warnings of pre-election terrorist attacks against Jews are flooding into operation rooms in Israel, putting the always-alert security forces on an even higher footing, and intensifiying the tension 48 hours before voting begins.

As of Monday morning, 70 terror alerts had been received, 17 of them about specific planned attacks. Iran is pushing the "Palestinians" to kill lots of Jews ahead of Tuesday.

For the Bush administration, however, it is intolerable that Palestinian Arabs should suffer deprivations for a few days because the Israelis have closed checkpoints to help prevent such attacks.

Open the ?borders,? US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice demanded in a telephone call to Israeli Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni Friday, according to Ha'aretz.

Yes Ma?am, the untried Livni (she was only recently appointed by Kadima Party head Ehud Olmert) agreed. Kadima's Defense Minister, Shaul Mofaz, agreed too.

Thus were the Karni, Kerem Shalom and Sufa crossings opened Sunday morning.

For the first time in two months Gaza goods that had been left to rot on the Arab side may flow through to Israeli markets so that Israeli money can flow into ?Palestinian? pockets.

This is all rather nice for the ?Palestinians,? who just two months ago voted overwhelmingly for ? and in a few days will see instituted ? a Hamas government that has vowed to destroy these very Israeli markets forever.

And a warm word of thanks to Mrs. Rice; at least on behalf of the terrorists eager to try and slip through these crossings to kill Jews.

Count has already been lost of the number of terrorists and the quantity and caliber of weaponry intended for use against Israel?s Jews that has entered Gaza since Rice thumb-screwed Prime Minister Ariel Sharon into opening the crossings between Gaza and Egypt last year.
