IDF soldier to Gaza Jews: Stay strong!

The young soldiers of the Israel Defense Forces are the last people that want to see the internationally-backed ?disengagement? plan executed against the Jews of the Gaza Strip.
That was the message conveyed Wednesday by one soldier to an American Jewish solidarity tour leader, according to Arutz 7.
Leib Schaeffer led his small group of American Jewish and Christian Zionists to Gaza's Kissufim Crossing Tuesday, confident they would somehow gain entry to Jewish Gaza, despite the government's decision to bar access to all non-residents for the duration of the evacuation process.
At Kissufim, the group tried for hours to convince soldiers stationed there to allow them to pass, when finally an officer approached Schaeffer and told him to ?come back tomorrow; sign your names on the list of visitors, and I will take responsibility for your entry.?
?We left,? said Schaeffer, ?sure that they were just trying to give us the run around, stayed at a nearby dibbutz and came back Wednesday morning.?
To the group's amazement, the officer stood by his word, and opened the gates of Gaza to the small band of Bible-believing Americans.
?If you don?t believe in miracles you should have been with us yesterday,? said group member Julie Dicks of Kansas City. ?It would make a believer out of you. It is unprecedented that we got in ? it?s just not happening and did not look at all like it was going to happen for us.?
Dicks, a Gentile believer, said she believed God would work similar and greater miracles in thwarting attempts to uproot any Jews from their ancient homeland.
?I don?t think God would work all these miracles for them and then just let it all go.?
As the group jubilantly entered the coastal strip once promised to the Tribe of Judah by the Almighty, one soldier pulled Schaeffer aside, telling him: ?You should know that the army is with you. We don?t want to do this, and we want you to relay a message to the residents of Gush Katif to stay strong.?
?We of the IDF are the last people who want this disengagement to happen,? the soldier was credited as saying.
