Top terrorists meet fiery end in Gaza

Israel received a discount on the mounting costs of its war on terror Tuesday when the IDF managed to kill two top Gaza-based terrorists in a missile strike originally targeting just one of them.

Al Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades commander Hassan al-Madhoun and senior Hamas terrorist Fawzi abu-Qara were treated to a fiery end courtesy of surgically-efficient Israeli pilots as they traveled through the Jabalya refugee camp on the outskirts of Gaza City.

Madhoun, the intended target, was personally responsible for the murder of at least 20 Israeli Jews over the past several years, and was behind several recent Kassam rocket attacks on the Negev town of Sderot.

He also held a day job as a member of the Palestinian Authority's official security forces.

In light of his extracurricular terrorist activities, Israel repeatedly requested the PA arrest Madhoun and get him off the streets.

The requests were ignored.

Following the operation, former IDF Intelligence Deputy-Chief Gen. Yaakov Amidror credited the practice of targeted killings with saving an untold number of Israeli lives.

Putting constant military pressure on the terrorists causes them ?to spend their time finding hiding places, instead of planning terror attacks,? Amidror told Arutz 7.

He was responding to leftist assertions that there is no military solution to ?Palestinian? terrorism, and criticism that Tuesday's strike was ill-timed considering recent peace efforts.
