US funds employment of terrorists in PA

Having made clear its opposition to Israel militarily eliminating the ?Palestinian? terror groups, Washington is now looking to corral the killers into the ?peace? fold by subsidizing their employment in the Palestinian Authority.

The Bush administration recently transferred some $4.4 million to the PA to facilitate the absorption of hundreds of Al Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades members into the official security forces, ?Palestinian? sources told Middle East Newsline.

?The US money was meant to pay salaries for Al Aqsa people who join the PA,? one official said.

American officials hope the funds will help to accelerate the elimination of the Brigades ? a ?military wing? of the ruling Fatah faction.

Israel, meanwhile, has other ideas about how to deal with the terrorists, and they don't include offering employment and fixed incomes.

Instead, Jerusalem seems more interested in meting out justice to those who murder Israeli Jews.

On Tuesday, an IDF helicopter gunship sent top Gaza-based Al Aqsa commander Hassan Madhoun to meet his Maker in a surgical missile strike on his vehicle.

Interestingly, Madhoun was, like many other Brigades members, already employed as a PA police officer. Many killers draw regular salaries from the PA to sustain them and their families while spending their time planning and executing the killing of Jews.

The ?Palestinians? who spoke to Middle East Newsline said at least 100 of the Brigades estimated 700 members would continue to attack Israelis even if the group was absorbed into the PA security forces.
