Jewish sovereignty threatened in J'lem

In a further violation of the ?Oslo? peace agreements, the Palestinian Authority's ruling Fatah faction plans to hold regional primary elections in eastern Jerusalem Tuesday.
Under the terms of ?Oslo,? the PA is prohibited from conducting official government business in the Israeli capital.
?Palestinian? officials said they plan to set up 40 polling stations in Jerusalem.
Israeli Public Security Minister Gideon Ezra reacted by vowing to thwart the direct threat to Israel's sovereignty in the ancient Jewish city.
?In no way will we let them set up polls in East Jerusalem,? the Associated Press quoted Ezra as saying. ?Jerusalem is Israel's capital and it will remain Israel's unified capital.?
Meanwhile, the European Union is intensifying its efforts to loosen Israel's hold on Jerusalem.
Arutz 7 reports that the EU is planning to ?expand its activities in support of the Palestinian Authority in Jerusalem.?
The Europeans will reportedly increase investments in PA institutions in the Israeli capital, as well as instruct diplomats to hold meetings with ?Palestinian? officials in the city.
Israel's Foreign Ministry responded by threatening to boycott any EU official who meets with PA representatives in Jerusalem.
