'Arabs only understand language of force'

Arab internet surfers urge Israel to crush Hizb'allah

Visitors to the Arabic language website of Israel's Foreign Ministry Thursday urged the Jewish state to crush Hizb'allah, noting that the language of brute force is the only one truly understood by the Muslim Arab world.

One anonymous Arab reader commented on the site:

"If Israel doesn't take very very tough offensive actions against this terror, it will open the doors of hell on herself.

"Arabs understand only the language of force. If they feel Israel is weak they will carry on until it is completely destroyed. That's how they think."

He went on to explain that even the perception that Israel's strength is waning will greatly encourage the terrorists, and cost Israel dearly in Jewish lives.

That is one of the primary reasons those to the right of Israel's political spectrum so vehemently opposed last summer's withdrawal from Gaza, which was viewed in "Palestinian" society and throughout the Middle East as a victory for Islamic terrorism, and Hamas in particular. Hamas rode that wave of "victory" to a landslide win in January's Palestinian Authority parliamentary elections.

A second Arab visitor to the Foreign Ministry site going by the name of Said addressed Prime Minister Ehud Olmert directly:

"Mr. Olmert, I do not support wars and I am never happy to see Israel losing soldiers... But, I believe the State of Israel faces an excellent opportunity to assassinate the extreme Hamas and Hizb'allah leadership, which are linked to Syria and Iran..."

Said went on to say Hamas and Hizb'allah, in cooperation with other terrorist organizations, are "spreading a culture of hate" among Arab youth that is setting Middle East society back hundreds of years, and that must be stopped before the situation deteriorates further.
