US fuels Israeli anti-terror offensive
Acknowledges Israel as enforcer of 'peace and security'

The United States will sell Israel a large quantity of jet fuel to feed its warplanes as they combat the forces of Islamic terrorism in the Middle East, the Pentagon has informed Congress.
In its official notice to Congress the Pentagon's Defense Security Cooperation Agency wrote:
"The proposed sale of the JP-8 aviation fuel will enable Israel to maintain the operational capability of its aircraft inventory."
The Pentagon statement appeared to acknowledge Israel's position as true enforcer of peace and security in the Middle East.
"The jet fuel will be consumed while (Israel's) aircraft (are) in use to keep peace and security in the region."
The sale can be blocked if both houses of Congress enact resolutions rejecting it within 30 days. They are not expected to do so.
