Israel's government appears determined to go ahead with the forced removal of Jews from so-called illegal communities in Samaria and Judea, despite the consistent evidence that such actions strengthen Israel's Arab enemies and sets Jew aganst Jew in the Land.
These targeted Jewish outposts are small in size, usually comprising a handful of trailers or prefabricated huts, and established on Jewish lands.
By contrast, rapidly spreading Arab towns and villages throughout the disputed territories, many of them boasting shiny new mosques and minarets, and dotted with luxurious, illegally-constructed mansions, are virtually ignored by the Israeli authorities.
Cowed by massive international pressure, successive Israeli governments have failed to push forward the growth of Jewish communities in their own ancestral homeland, while allowing the Palestinian Arab side to successfully establish massive facts on the ground in lands they have no historic claim or title to.
Reports indicate Israeli Defense Minister Amir Peretz will order the evacuation of Jewish outposts to begin after the Feast of Tabernacles, which ends on October 15.
