Israel has expressed no opposition whatsoever to Jordanian plans to build a fifth minaret atop Jerusalem's Temple Mount, a senior Jordanian official said Wednesday.
Earlier this week, Jordan's King Abdullah II launched a public competition the winner of which will see his minaret design turned into reality, further solidifying Islam's hold over the site of Israel's temples to her God.
The Prime Minister's Office and Israel's Antiquities Authority had no comment on the matter when questioned by The Jerusalem Post.
