US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice told a gathering of ?Palestinian? Americans Wednesday she believed ?there could be no greater legacy for America than to help bring into being a Palestinian state.?
Rice, the administration official primarily responsible for charting the course of foreign policy for President George W. Bush, had just returned from a round of Middle East diplomacy during which she met with both Israeli officials and ?Palestinian? terrorists.
One of those terrorists, Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas, blatantly lied to Rice about his people?s willingness to recognize Israel. Despite verifiable reports revealing this betrayal, the American was emphatic in her declaration.
?I promise you my personal commitment to that goal,? she said, echoing Bush who, just four weeks earlier, called the creation of Palestine ?one of the great objectives of my presidency.?
Washington?s resolve to play midwife to the birth of an Arab state on Jewish lands appears not in the least bit weakened by the steadily-accumulated evidence ? as the latest opinion polls again show ? that the vast majority of ?Palestinians? still support the traditional PLO position, according to which the establishment of a Palestinian state will assure the ultimate destruction of the Jewish one.
By maintaining their support for the realization of this Arab ambition, America?s leaders are, unwittingly or otherwise, aiding and abetting those determined to destroy Israel.
Today the White House sees this as a legacy to aspire after and achieve!
History makes a strong case for the argument that God brought the United States into being expressly in order that Israel would have a God-fearing nation allied with her against an increasingly godless world.
And indeed, stemming directly from its unique heritage as a nation founded on deeply driven Judeo-Christian pilings, America has ? more than any other nation ? assisted and supported the reconstituted Jewish homeland since its 1948 rebirth.
That backing has, however, been whittled away by liberal forces working to bring America in line with the anti-Israel policies and practices of virtually every other country on the globe.
Just how far this erosion has gone was abruptly revealed in 2002 when Bush, a born-again Christian, became the first American president to verbally commit himself to helping create a Palestinian state on Israel?s biblical patrimony.
According to His Word, God, the One Who has restored the Jews to their land and is in the process of restoring the land to the Jews, will not stand for this. He is fully committed to securing Israel and warns those who seek to devour her.
"Hear the word of the LORD, O nations, and declare it in the isles afar off, and say, 'He who scattered Israel will gather him, and keep him as a shepherd does his flock.' For the LORD has redeemed Jacob, and ransomed him from the hand of one stronger than he?? (Jeremiah 31:10-11)
?Therefore all those who devour you shall be devoured; and all your adversaries, every one of them, shall go into captivity; those who plunder you shall become plunder, and all who prey upon you I will make a prey.
For I will restore health to you and heal you of your wounds,? says the LORD, ?Because they called you an outcast saying: ?This is Zion; No one seeks her.?? (Jeremiah 30:16-17)
Reverently and urgently remind the Lord of His promises to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, and to the children of Israel. He promised them this land - specifically those areas the world calls "occupied territory" - as an everlasting inheritance.
As Asaph did in Psalm 79, alert Him to the fact that the nations are coming into His inheritance and seeking to take it from His people. Call upon Him to pour out His wrath on the countries that do not know Him, and on the kingdoms that do not call on His name: For they seek to devour Jacob and lay waste his dwelling place.
Stand, facing your nation's capital, and proclaim aloud: "May God arise, and may His enemies be scattered!"
US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice trumpeted her belief Wednesday that ?there could be no greater legacy for America than to help bring into being a Palestinian state.?
Speaking at a dinner hosted by Arab Americans to mark the third anniversary of the ?American Task Force on Palestine,? Rice told her listeners: ?I promise you my personal commitment to that goal.?
She made her declaration a few days after returning from her latest round of Middle East diplomacy, during which she held consultations with Israeli government officials and ?Palestinian? terrorists.
Her sentiments echoed those of President George W. Bush who, on September 19, called the creation of Palestine ?one of the great objectives of [his] presidency.?
Rice went on to pledge that the US would help end the ?daily humiliation? of the Israeli ?occupation.?
Instead of calling on the Arab states that are primarily responsible for the creation and perpetuation of the ?Palestinians?? plight to take responsibility for ending their suffering, she let the inference stand that Israel is chiefly to blame.
The latest development underscored the determination of the White House to see the implementation of Bush?s ?two state solution? to the Arab-Israeli conflict at Israel?s expense, and before the end of the president?s second term.
Rice reaffirmed her commitment to this goal knowing full well that Palestinian Authority chairman Mahmoud Abbas had lied to her last week about his determination to ensure that the PA recognize Israel as a Jewish state.
As reported in World Net Daily Tuesday, a day after assuring Rice in English that he would demand such recognition from the Hamas component of his PA, Abbas went on TV to tell his people in Arabic that neither Hamas not his Fatah faction of the PLO is required to recognize the Jewish state.
Hamas leader Khaled Mashaal mocked the whole concept Thursday, announcing that instead of recognizing Israel, his terror group was willing to ?recognize? the agreements that the PA under the late Yasser Arafat had signed with the Israelis.
