Palestinian Arabs shot and moderately wounded a Jewish truck driver in Israel's biblical heartland Thursday morning.
Although wounded in the thigh, the driver kept driving until he reached a security checkpoint, from which he was evacuated to hospital.
His condition has reportedly improved.
The attack came shortly after the Hamas terrorist organization threatened to avenge the death of one of its members killed by IDF fire in the Gaza Strip earlier this week.
The Arab victim was one of the men responsible for kidnapping Israeli corporal Gilad Shalit.
