Arab MKs poised to score propaganda victory?

Israel?s left-leaning Knesset is reportedly ready to grant the wishes of Arab members who have been working for years to secure a propaganda platform from which to perpetuate anti-Israel sentiment to their advantage, and Israel?s detriment.

Treacherous Arab parliamentarians appeared to be salivating Wednesday at the prospect of getting the government to plead mea culpa for the 1956 killing of 48 unarmed Arabs by an Israeli police platoon.

The police had been enforcing a curfew in the Arab town of Kfar Kassem. The victims reportedly had not known that a curfew was in place. A trial found the policemen guilty of carrying out a manifestly illegal order.

According to The Jerusalem Post, Muhammad Barakei ? one of the most perfidious Arab politicians ? believes the Knesset is ready to consider voting for a bill that will strengthen official recognition of the ?massacre.?

Barakei, who openly consorts with Arab states, organizations and individuals bent on destroying Israel, has been pushing the passage of a bill calling on the government to:

Ha?aretz reported Wednesday that leftist Education Minister Yuli Tamir has already ordered Israeli schools to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the massacre this year.

While Israel is extraordinarily tolerant towards its Arab citizens ? many of whom are avowedly enemies of their own country ? the MKs representing that constituency work tirelessly to portray her government as bigoted and unjust in its treatment of them.

The very fact that Barakei is allowed to retain the office of an Israeli MK evidences the lie of their assertions.

Still, no opportunity is missed to besmirch Israel and increase regional and international loathing of the Jewish state.
