Former World Bank president and sometimes Middle East envoy James Wolfensohn told a gathering of American Jews on Monday that Washington's close relationship with Israel may soon diminish as it focuses attention elsewhere.
Wolfensohn's assessment appears to ignore the fact that America's broad support for Israel is based on the deep-held covictions of its tens of millions of Bible-believing Christians, and is unlikely to change regardless of world events.
