Iranian demagogue Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was quoted as telling his government ministers on Monday that "Israel is destined for destruction and will soon disappear."
Ignoring vast historical evidence, Ahmadinejad claimed that Israel was a creation of Western powers determined to maintain their hold on the Muslim Middle East.
"As a contradiction to nature, we foresee [Israel's] rapid disappearance and destruction," said the Iranian.
Israel is growing increasingly concerned that weak international diplomatic efforts to halt Iran's nuclear program will fail.
As such, Israeli leaders are increasingly hinting that the Jewish state will not hesitate to take unilateral preemptive military action against the Islamic Republic.
