UN deplores Israeli offensive; Israel won't cooperate with probe

The United Nations General Assemby on Friday voted overwhelmingly in favor of an Arab-sponsored resolution deploring Israel's anti-terror military offensive in the Gaza Strip.

In particular, the resolution censured Israel over its accidental killing of 19 "Palestinian" civilians as part of that action earlier this month.

Israel launched the ground and air offensive in response to incessant "Palestinian" missile attacks on southern Israel communities.

Israel's ambassador to the UN, Dan Gillerman, called the resolution and its call for an investigation into the IDF operation a "farce."

Gillerman said the "decision is sinful," and recommended that the government not cooperate with the UN probe.

Similar investigations in the past have predictably ended with the UN announcing that Israel was employing "disproportionate force" in its battle against "Palestinian" terror.

Many would argue that the war on terror, or any war for that matter, cannot be won without employing more force than your enemy.
