One day after the Palestine Islamic Jihad threatened to resume attacks against Israelis unless the IDF ceased its anti-terrorim operations in Judea and Samaria, Israel's army chiefs agreed to lower the level of its activity in those areas too.
The Israeli decision was seen as a capitulation to the terrorists, who had all along insisted that a "ceasefire" agreed to last week between Israel and the Palestinian Authority, and which was only meant to cover the Gaza Strip, be expanded to include the so-called West Bank.
Palestinian Arabs are expected to view the compliance as yet another point scored on the road to their ultimate victory over the weak Jewish state.
