Israeli cabinet members Sunday called for the IDF to launch a large-scale military operation against the Gaza Strip.
The Strip has become a hot house for terrorism, arms smuggling and murder since Israel, succumbing to massive international pressure, abandoned it 17 months ago.
Kassam rockets are daily fired by Arabs intent on killing, maiming and terrorizing Jews in southern Israel.
The chairmen of the Shas ultra-orthodox party and the Yisrael Beiteinu (YB) party said Israel has no choice but to go in and root out those firing the missiles
One hundred Kassams had been fired since the signing of a “ceasefire” a few weeks ago, said YB leader Avigdor Lieberman.
Shas leader Eli Yishai said Israel would pay “a heavy price” if it did not deal with the incessant attacks.
