Gaza Jews made refugees by their own government in 2005 saw IDF Chief of Staff Dan Halutz's Wednesday morning resignation as punishment for the pivotal part he played in implementing the "Disengagement.
While Halutz had "prepared the ground well" for uprooting Jews from their homes and communities in the Gaza Strip, he had "forgot and neglected to prepare the army for war," one victim told Ynetnews.
Halutz shouold have resigned "long ago" and not overseen the action that turned Gaza into "Hamas-land."
The decision by the Sharon goovernment to disinherit the Jews of Gush Katif and the other Gaza settlements and render the Strip judenrein was taken after intense American pressure to do so.
That move led directly to the flourishing of terrorism in the Gaza Strip, from which hunndreds of rockets have now been fired at Jewish homes.
