The world must confront Iran and Israel will do what it can to ensure that it does, Prime Minister Ehud Olmert told his cabinet Sunday.
“The State of Israel will not allow the world to avoid a confrontation with a country calling for the destruction of Israel.”
Before the weekly meeting an exhibition was held in Olmert's offices to demonstrate how antisemitism is on the rise in different nations around the world.
Vice Prime Minister Shimon Peres described the longest hatred as a gentile "disease" and said the world would be "sick" as long as antisemitism remained.
